Automated Solutions

We design and build equipment to load parts automatically and semi-automatically for assembly, printing, machining, adhesive application and a variety of other tasks. We build machines that automate simple tasks with cycle times under 1 second and machines that perform complex automated processes.

Capsule Filling System

A 2-Up system that loads bases from a magazine onto a dial. An auger loads a powdered material into the base. A holding mechanism is placed on top of the powdered material. A cap is placed on top and ultrasonically welded to the base. The product is offloaded onto a conveyor for labeling. An automated nitrogen shroud ensures the product receives minimal exposure to oxygen, while also acting as safety guarding for the operator.

Needle Assembly System

Hubs and cannulas are loaded by vibratory feeder bowl, oriented to the correct position with a servo dial system, and placed onto nests on the dial. The hub is crimped around the cannula. A smart eject/reject system offloads completed assemblies.

Package Removal System

Packages of syringes are placed into a magazine. A clamping mechanism holds the upper packages while the lowest package is pushed into the staging area. The staging area can also be used for single package loading. A cylinder pushes the package from the staging area under the hold-down mechanism. The hold-down mechanism descends. A blade slices the end of the package and fingers push the syringes into a bin. The remaining package material is diverted into a separate bin. Both bins are accessible from any side of the machine from a lower shelf protected on all sides by light curtains.
